Germany. Nideggen - A City Of Red Stone.

the last day we traveled not only to places that are familiar to me and which I have already written, but for me it was the discovery of a small town Nideggen, located 23 km from Euskirchen, in the picturesque foothills of the Eifel. As can be seen from a poster at the gate of the old - the city we were greeted warmly!

The first mention of this place dates from the 1184 year. Count Wilhelm II Jülich founded Nideggen castle and town, which on Christmas Day 1313 has received city rights. Then the city wall was built with four vovorotami, three of which (Nyckstor, Dürener-and Zülpicher Tor) survived to date. Now the population is 10,684 people.
