The Best Of Philippines

Photobucket

I traveled to the Philippines three weeks in July-August 2011. The attention of an angry public is invited to chilling report from this beautiful country. Rice Terraces, dzhipni, backyard basketball, uncompromising haircut and street thugs.

Brutal men a rest after a busy day in the mountain village of Sagada. From this cozy place did not want to leave, but a ruthless debt traveler called me forward.

A woman admires her child in the ancient Spanish city of Vigan. It is best preserved in Asia, the Spanish architecture. In Vigan, I had an excellent hotel with a rosette, fan and Wi-FEMA, that still need to be happy? I'm just a little bit long for Europe, but here such an unexpected bonus.

Photobucket

This is not a gladiatorial chariot is traysikly. The Philippine version of how the bike can be converted into public transport. Each tuning traysikl lovingly decorated with the owner and pretentious labels like No Fear, Las Vegas Express or the Merciless.

Photobucket

Coaches with crows Ryskov in Vigan. This is not a tourist attraction, and public transportation in the city center. Which, incidentally, is listed by UNESCO. And in general, preserved in Vigan is the oldest church in South-East Asia. Perhaps it is true, but when someone is concerned in the preparation of tourism brochures?

Something for a long time I did not ask "What are you filming?" So, I made this photograph on Nastin Cannon 500d with lens Tamron 17-50, f2, 8. Feel the difference. I did not particularly feel.

Photobucket

A serious man flatly refused to look into the lens. Taken on 08/08/2011 at Sagada, Northern Luzon, Philippines, Asia.

Secret factory packaging heroin in northern Philippines.

With regard to crime in the Philippines. In the Philippines, Southeast Asia bekpekerskom community are very unsafe area. In Manila, it is really felt.
In Banaue, we with my fellow traveler Nastya met an elderly Dutch sex tourist Aaron, and he told us his sad story.
The Dutchman went to Manila in search of luxurious damsels, and a still lured him. Invited to drink coffee, Aaron happily agreed. After the coffee he longed to sleep, and he woke up a week later with an empty bank accounts. Aaron week pumped drugs and minivan were taken to the island of Luzon North. Every day brought him to the ATM and withdraw money from the card, since he had set a limit on daily withdrawals. Money in the accounts have been many, but almost nothing is left. In the Dutch case is photographed at his own camera on the background of all kinds of attractions. Apparently, in order to create for others the illusion that Mr. White is traveling with his Filipino friends. All of these events he remembers very vague. A week later, Aaron found himself in Banaue, there came a little to himself, and arrived in Manila on the same bus with us. In Manila, for him to come in the guesthouse and recorded testimony of a policeman. It is doubtful that the police will find the criminals, the photos they do not, for obvious reasons.
That's the story, well again, that the Dutchman was still alive and sane.

Very cute children in all its crushing power.

I picked Sagadskoy lesson in secondary school № 1. Studies conducted in English.
American films in Philippine cinema shown in the original language without subtitles. And no one grumbles.

Rice terraces in Sagada.

Bontok collected rice is dried in the sun.

Photobucket

Unpretentious man's haircut cost 49 Philippine pesos, that is, a dollar. I could not afford it.

Photobucket

Hard grandfather in the national costume of the ethnic minorities in Bontoke. He did not want to be photographed, so I took it off quickly. Well, almost.

Photobucket

This dzhipni, enchanting the public transport with unlimited capacity. The most adrenalin places - on the roof. Once we have found that you can ride, since the roof does not dismount. This method moves great mood and improves circulation.

Photobucket

- Pass the fare is not ashamed! - So that seems to say at home. I've completely forgotten the realities of Kiev, I see everything through rose-colored light.

Photobucket

On the harvesters are not dreaming. Yield is collected, transported and sorted by hand.

Photobucket

At the same time, Filipinos rarely lose heart. This nation has made me a very good impression. They have no ovoschizma inherent Laotians, or Khmer. Filipinos are fun, bold, self respect and kindly, but without much excitement related to the travelers.

Photobucket

This is also a hidden shooting.

Photobucket

This machine is of a Bontoka Bunaue was to go at 11:30, but we had to wait for her departure to three hours of the day. At the beginning of the journey I would be very nervous, and now just trying to hold a meaningful free time appeared.
Only photos of the driver dropped his shirt. In the Philippines, popular way to escape from the heat. And the more a man's stomach, the greater the chance that he will turn up sexy shirt. In China, where I am now traveling, too few are doing it.

Young people learn to manage traysiklom.

High Jump on the cold streets of Banaue.

Photobucket

Basketball - the most popular game in the Philippines. Trainers can not buy everything, so play barefoot or in flip-flops. Basketball courts, or at least one ring is in every village.
The first half of XX century, the Philippines was a colony of the United States, such as Puerto Rico or Hawaii. And here's the result. Good English in the general population - is also a consequence of this bloody occupation.

Photobucket

Banaue Rice Terraces of the so-called eighth wonder of the world. They are 2,000 years old, listed by UNESCO.

Photobucket

My mother's helper.

Photobucket

Homemade wooden scooter - what else does a street bosote?

Photobucket

Father cuts his eldest son, the younger controls the process. In men, red lips because popular in Asia, betel nut chewing gum toning. In the Philippines it is called "MoMA."

Photobucket

Drying harvested rice. Actually I'm not strong in the technology of its production, so do not expect anything grand. It reminds me of Mark Twain's story "How I edited the agricultural newspaper."

Photobucket

Storming dzhipni, places get only the most cunning and tenacious. Timid and shy left out.

Photobucket

Chess battles in Manila city park.

Photobucket

Well, a very large Footlong.
